Last Train to Kelso_edited-1

last train to kelso by janice trane jones, 8 x 10 oil on canvas panel, $325 unframed

This scene almost appears imagined unless you have ever visited the little train station and town of Kelso in the Mojave Desert.  It is a wonderful throw back to the days of train travel. The classic Spanish architecture has been preserved both inside and out and the building is part of a National Preserve.  I fell in love with the entire area because of the brilliant contrasting colors of the oranges and blues. That is an artist’s dream come true if you can get those combinations and wonderful architecture to boot.  Now, if I could only wake up one day and paint like John Singer Sargent life would be perfect. ~ janice
