karrie baldwin penny {april invited artist}

We’re excited to announce our latest invited artist for the month of April: Karrie Baldwin Penny!  🙂

Karrie’s impressionistic landscapes represent a familiar place, yet bring something new to be discovered. They emerge from a personal relationship with a place and the atmosphere. The landscape is calming and peaceful, yet evokes emotions and preserves memories and connections of the past. Many paintings begin and end on-site. Others are completed in the studio from sketches, photographs and visual memories absorbed over time.

Karrie Baldwin Penney received a Bachelors Degree in Fine Art, Painting and Drawing from the University of Utah in 2003.

Her work has been shown in several juried shows and exhibits including; Park City Showcase of Homes, 2006, 2007, 2008, Deseret News Landscape Show (Juried), 2002, 2004, 2005, 2007, Park City Professional Art Association Group Show (Juried), 2005, 2006. Two Sisters Fine Art Gallery, Heber, UT, 2004 through 2008, Five Friends Fine Art, Heber, UT, 2008, and Patrick Moore Gallery, Salt Lake City, UT, 2006. Karrie is a member of the Park City Professional Art Association and the Midway Art Association.
