after the fire

after the fire by debbie tolbert, 12 x 16 oil on canvas board, $400 unframed

We were driving thru Yellowstone Park last fall on a road trip and my husband dropped me off to paint for a bit while he took some work calls. There were stands of burned trees on one side of the river and living trees on the other. A storm was drifting in and fly fisherman were wandering up and down the banks. It was a very peaceful moment and I was extremely happy to be out of a moving car.
