first come, first serve

first come, first serve by janice trane jones  8 x 10 oil on panel, $299 unframed, $399 framed.

When the Midway Plein Air Paradise rolls around each year we gear up for crazy weather to paint outdoors. On my last day of painting I had begun a painting of a local home when a fast moving rain storm passed through.  I decided to sit in the back of my car, scrap off the old painting and paint the robins picking up worms as the storm moved out. This painting received an Honorable Mention in the Heber Paint-out competition. It has heavy impasto and brush work. ~ janice

Thank you both for the kind words. Impasto is a lot of fun especially with the knife. Thanks Jan
