december art giveaway& ask the artist: robert j. johnson

Happiest of Holidays to everyone!  This month’s festive gift is from Robert.  It is a limited edition print of an original watercolor.  It is really quite large…the image is about 24×32 and there is another 3″ or so white border.  It would be a nice addition to your home any time of the year.  🙂

Simply leave a comment to enter.  For an extra entry, leave a query for Robert. Ask him about his love of ice cream, the mid-west, or his grand-kiddos.  He is one of the kindest, most genuine men I know.  Hope you enjoy getting to know him better!

Contest ends Christmas at midnight MST.  I’ll announce the winner Monday December 27th and Robert’s answers later that week.  Good luck and merry, merry to all! ~ katrina

I love your colors in this print! I grew up in Texas and am always missing the Blue Bell ice cream (not to be confused with the Blue Bunny that you can find around here! :)) What’s your favorite?

I love your flowers – they are my all-time favorite. You picked the perfect colors for them also. The boldness of the dark and complimentary lighter hues serve them well.

The picture is so lovely. The colors are vibrant and it would be a fine addition to anyone’s home. Watercolor pictures are unique in their own way. It is a challenge working with watercolors.

    Merry Christmas!

Robert, I just love your style! The realism is amazing – so beautiful and true to life. I love the subtle shading of the colors and the diaphanous appearance of the petals. I would be honored and delighted to own this lovely piece!

Hi Robert, Where do you think your interest in art and artistic talent come from? Are you from a family of artists? Thanks so much, and happy painting!
